Luca Capoferri, born in 1991, graduated with honours in Piano and Composition at the Conservatorio Luca Marenzio in Brescia under the guidance of Maestro Domenico Clapasson and Maestro Paolo Ugoletti, after completing his studies at the Music High School V. Gambara in Brescia.
He is also graduated in Conducting at the Italian Conducting Academy with the Maestro Gilberto Serembe. He has performed as a soloist in prestigious halls, such as the Philharmonic of Trento, and participated in several chamber music festivals with various ensembles.
He is involved in numerous artistic projects, ranging from opera to contemporary music, with particular attention to local composers. He played in many world premieres of new compositions. In 2019, he edited a piano collection by Ugoletti, published by the Aldebaran publishing house.
For the latter label, he likewise composed a Suite for string orchestra, a collection of piano preludes, and is currently publishing the First Symphony and a Sonata for clarinet and piano. He has recorded and collaborated with various labels, publishers and institutions, including La Scuola, Rai 5, and Sky Classica.
He was commissioned to write an orchestration of Zanetto by Mascagni, staged in April 2022 in Zurich and Lugano.
As assistant conductor he worked at the Korea National Opera and Opéra de Toulon in several productions: L'heure Espagnole, la Bohème, Attila, Tosca, Carmen. For 10 years, he has been Choir Repetitor at the Teatro Grande in Brescia. Additionally, Luca holds concerts, collaborates with and trains opera singers of international level.
